Lighted Christmas Lolly Pops

These are basically the same idea behind the Peppermint Candy Garland, only a round version made with and clear plastic lid, platter, or plates.
These were some plates from a party that were throw aways but i washed them off dried them and saved them.
1.Here i placed regular tape and lightly placed it in a star pattern so that part would remain shiny and clear, or you can spray the entire plate with Frosted Glass Spray Paint. Let dry about 5 sec and tear the tape off.
                 2. With regular acrylic craft paint you can paint lines to resemble a peppermint or whatever you choose your lolly pop to be. Let dry completely.

                    3. Adding lights and lolly pop stick. Here i used a pvc candy cane that's kind old and faded to put it to good use but you can use a wood dowel, pvc pipe, one of those blinds wands for opening and closing blinds that may have broke... basically anything that's a pole. Run the light strand up to the top and around so your candy plate has lights running around it (if you have a straight stick you can use hot glue to tack the lights to the plate or clear tape) then run the lights all the way back to the bottom of the stick. I fastened the lights to the pole with white nylon ribbon so it was snug as possible to the pole.
                   4. Using clear cellophane place the candy lollipop on top leaving about 5 inches below the candy part, fold it over the top till its even with the end of the bottom piece and cut the cellophane.
                     5. Take a piece of nylon ribbon and tie it as tight as possible around the pole gathering all the edges of the cellophane to the stick.

I tied two lollypops together to get this result

You can also use the round peppermints on a light strand the same way as the bottles on the Peppermint Garland for round candies. They look great hung on a lighted tree with lights shining behind them just wrap them without the lights.
